Outdoor music festivals aren’t only about enjoying your favorite
band or performer in a bucolic setting; they’ve also become a
standard for spotting current style.
The gold standard in festivals is the Coachella Valley Music and
Arts Festival — known simply as “Coachella” by its legions of
fans — which takes place over two weekends every April in
Indio, California. The 2024 event sold roughly a quarter-million
tickets, with musical acts including Doja Cat, Lana Del Rey, Ice
Spice and Chappell Roan.
Both on and o昀昀 the stage, women up their style game. Sel昀椀es
and videos posted to Instagram and TikTok have become
elements that share equal footing with the music thanks to the
in昀氀uencers in attendance. With followers in the six 昀椀gures, these
new “celebrities” embrace a boho vibe that feels right within
this festival’s desert environment. When you start with highwattage swimwear or lingerie and then layer in sheer pieces
with the perfect accessories, you’ll get noticed at Coachella.
